3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts - pecans or walnuts
1 cup peeled, seeded diced apples (usually 2 apples)
Combine sugar, flour, salt and baking powder and stir well.
In another bowl beat egg and vanilla, then add to dry mixture.
Stir in nuts and apples. Mixture will be very thick.
Spoon into a buttered 8 inch pie plate, spread evenly.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Serve warm or cold (better warm) with ice cream or whipped cream.
